Outstanding Preparation
College and Career Readiness
At TSCA, we make it a priority to ensure that every graduate is prepared to move into the next chapter of their lives.
This is achieved in a number of ways, including the use of our College Planning Center, college campus visits to universities like Dallas Baptist University and LeTourneau University, and dual credit courses, which allow students to graduate high school with up to 39 hours of college credit.
The universities attended by recent graduates include but are not limited to Texas Tech University, Abilene Christian University, University of Oklahoma, Baylor University, Columbia University, Rice University, University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Texas Christian University, Dallas Baptist University, Oklahoma Christian University, Grand Canyon University, Southern Methodist University and the University of North Texas.

We diversify the learning experience according to the needs of each student while equipping them with tools to be college and career ready. Our small class size lends itself to individual attention and deeper content exploration. All secondary students use a hybrid learning program. Textbooks are both digital and hardback and most coursework is completed on Google Classroom through our 1:1 laptop program.

In addition to traditional instruction, preschool students also use tablets which provide them with extended learning opportunities to grow and flourish. Throughout the week, students experience classes such as computer, library, music, conversational Spanish and Chapel.
We desire to build a solid foundation where young students are socially and academically prepared to become mature and successful students.
Key facets of our program include:
-
- Gross motor skill development through recess and center time
- Use of manipulatives and technology to support understanding of number sense and early math concepts
- Technology literacy using the computer lab and access to tablets in classrooms
- Curriculum that supports emergent literacy, building awareness of connection between speaking, reading, and writing through exposure to books and conversation

Using engaging curriculum, we challenge our students to become independent thinkers. By building a strong foundation consisting of phonics, reading, and arithmetic, students are equipped with basic principles to improve their learning experience as they advance to upper elementary language arts, social studies, science and math.
The core curriculum is enriched with specialty programs such as: art, music, conversational Spanish, physical education, library, and chapel.
Our close knit environment enables teachers to give students individual attention in self-contained classrooms. Technology is appropriately integrated through the use of computer classes and tablets. Elementary computer classes for preschool through grade 5 are taught in the computer lab. Students are motivated to read and strengthen reading comprehension with the challenge of the Accelerated Reader program.
Bible classes with Scripture memorization are a regular part of the curriculum. Weekly chapel services are led by our students and teachers as well as local pastors, musicians, and other guests.
A variety of educational field trips are incorporated throughout the school year to complement academic concepts. The Elementary Student Council is open to students in grades four and five.
