On Friday, March 26, our faculty and families were informed that TSCA will close at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. Enrollment decline, the need for major capital repairs, the cancellation of all our fundraising events, and the pandemic have combined to make continuing into our 50th year a financial impossibility. We are sad beyond our ability to express. We covet your prayers for our scholars, their families, and our faculty and staff, as they each must make the transition to a new school or place of employment. Thank you for the many ways you have partnered with us in serving our community over the last 49 years.

Testing and Standards
Since we are a private school our students are not required to take the STARR test. Instead, our 1st – 2nd grade students take the Stanford Test to see how they have learned throughout the year. Our 3rd- 12th Grade students take the ACT Aspire test which helps them prepare for the ACT. This is one way that we prepare our students for higher education.

About Us

Our academic preschool is filled with developmentally appropriate curriculum to encourage even our youngest students to love learning from a Christian, biblical perspective. The program allows students to explore and discover in a warm and nurturing environment. Curriculum is carefully customized to fit the needs of bright and energetic young minds. Students are enriched in phonics, arithmetic, reading, and writing.

Using engaging, Christ-centered curriculum, we challenge our students to become independent thinkers. By building a strong foundation consisting of biblical knowledge, phonics, reading, and arithmetic, students are equipped with basic principles to improve their learning experience as they advance to upper elementary language arts, social studies, science, math, and biblical understanding.

We diversify the learning experience according to the needs of each scholar while equipping them with tools to be college and career ready. Our small class size lends itself to individual attention and deeper content exploration. All secondary scholars benefit from an in-depth study of the Bible, practicing the art of Christian apologetics, and a 1:1 laptop program, where technology is a learning tool that supports instruction. Interactive learning, dual-credit courses, entrepreneurship, 3D Printing & Design, and Latin, Greek, and Spanish are just some of the exciting learning opportunities for our secondary scholars.

Our Mission & Vision

Tyler Street Christian Academy educates by inspiring students to love learning, strengthening students with Christ-like character and Biblical foundations for living, and encouraging students to pursue their dreams and callings.

Tyler Street Christian Academy’s vision is to be an excellent Christian school that develops servant leaders in a loving, nurturing environment.

What Graduates are Saying

“My TSCA experience was a great time. I learned a lot in my time here and it is sad that it has come to an end. The teaching and environment were both 10 out of 10.”
2019 Alumnus

“I am extremely grateful for TSCA. Honestly, I resented that it was so small growing up, but, once I realized that that gave me an advantage in the classroom, I used it to my benefit. I appreciate the teachers who have impacted my life. I truly feel prepared for college and my future, because of the foundation this school gave me. There were many ups and downs, but I know why I am a Christian, and I know how I am going to positively impact the world. I found my purpose here. That is what matters most. Thank you, TSCA.”
2019 Alumna

“My experience at TSCA was a lot of fun. I got to learn and grow as a believer; as well as engage in activates I could not do anywhere else.”
2019 Alumnus
